Mobile Social Congress 2026

Exposing the hidden cost of technology

The challenge

The 11th edition of the Mobile Social Congress focused on exposing the environmental and social impact of mineral extraction linked to the tech industry. The challenge was to translate a complex global issue into a clear and visually compelling campaign without relying on generic sustainability aesthetics, while making the event feel more open, accessible and culturally relevant to a broader audience.

The solution

Built around the concept “Desenterrem la veritat” (“Unearth the truth”), the identity used minerals as a central visual element to reveal what usually remains hidden behind modern technology. The result was a fresher and more contemporary identity that moved away from previous editions through a cleaner visual system and a renewed logotype with a stronger activist tone, designed to resonate with both younger and older audiences.

Project information

Mobile Social Congress is an alternative congress and public platform promoted by SETEM that critically examines the social and environmental impact of the technology industry. Positioned as a counterpoint to the Mobile World Congress, the initiative sheds light on the realities often hidden behind global tech production, with a particular focus on the Global South, labour conditions and mineral extraction.

Developed alongside Luna Yera and Paula de la Piedra, the new identity gave MSC 2026 a fresher and more contemporary visual language while preserving its activist and informative essence.

The project was awarded a 2026 LAUS Inbook Award.
